Wisdom, Folly, and the Inevitability of Death

Ecclesiastes 2:12-16

2
Chapter 2
12 And I turned to see wisdom and futility and foolishness, for what will the man who comes after the king do? What has already been done. 13 And I saw that wisdom has an advantage over folly, as light has an advantage over darkness. 14 The wise man has his eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. And I knew also that one event will happen to all of them. 15 And I said in my heart, "What happens to the fool will also happen to me. And why have I been so wise?" And I said to myself, this also is vanity. 16 For there is no lasting remembrance of the wise man any more than the fool. As the days come to an end, everything is forgotten. And how does the wise man die just like the fool?
